Dexanil (Escitalopram)
Dexanil
(Escitalopram) is an antidepressant
which is used to prevent and treat depression, panic episodes, mental disorders
and in some cases erectile dysfunction that is caused under different stress
circumstances and in result of obsessive disorders. It increases
the amount of serotonin, a natural substance in the brain that helps maintain
mental balance. Dexanil (Escitalopram) improves mood, reduce misery, anxiety,
irritability and emotional stress, increase mental activity, normalize the
general mental condition.
Indication for use
Dexanil
(Escitalopram) can be taken by
almost all adults who have had:

Depressions
·
Panic episodes
·
Agoraphobia
·
Social anxiety
disorders
·
Sexual disorders ,
such as erectile dysfunction, quick ejaculation that are caused in result of low amount of
serotonin in brain
Precautions
Dexanil
(Escitalopram) is not recommended
to use if you: have had an experience of allergic reaction to Escitalopram; have a heart, liver or kidney
problems; have eye problem, i.e. glaucoma; have bipolar disorders.
Do not take with citalopram,
dofetilide,linezolid. Consult with your doctor in case of pregnancy and period
of lactation.
Dose and usage
Before taking this
medication consult with your attending physician.
Take Dexanil 10 mg by
mouth once a day independent on mealtime. Dose can be increased to 20 mg a day
if there are not any response within a week.
Dexanil
(Escitalopram) medicines can be of different doses: 5mg and
10mg.
What it looks like
5 mg – round pink
pills, 10mg – elongated (oval) pink pills.
Side
effects
As any others medications Dexanil (Escitalopram) can have in some cases side
effects such as: delayed ejaculation, insomnia, nausea, vomiting, heart beat, constipation,
dry mouth, weight gain/loss, drowsiness, sweating, fatigue, changes in sex
drive
Tell your doctor if you have some side effects or your
condition worsens.
